Hockey pics!
Not only do I have pictures from the tournament in the flash gallery, but I also have a FULL gallery for you to enjoy.

Hockey, hockey, and some pics.
Played in a USA Hockey Adult Classic tournament this weekend, sponsored by Labatt Blue.  My team won our division with a 4-0 record over the weekend in Lansing, Michigan.  We had a blast!  The last game was a nail biter, 2-2 after regulation.  Ended up having to go to a shootout to win 3-2!  I had one shutout over the weekend and 5 goals against in the tournament.  The team awarded me the MVP trophy as well!

We also attended the Michigan v. Michigan State game that was on Friday night in Lansing, what a good time that was.  Hanging downtown with the college crowd after the game was also a good time.  Even had some local friends come to our games and take pictures!  Always fun to hang out with friends, play hockey, and drink some beer!

The hockey photo gallery will be up soon... a flash one and full gallery, but in the meantime, enjoy the flash gallery from Montana.  I finally got around to picking a select group of pics to go on the rotating gallery thingy at the top of the page.
Videos from Yellowstone
Posted up a couple of videos from our snowmobile tour of Yellowstone park.. pretty fun to see the buffalo on the road... or scary at time. :)

Also, here is a link to my full photo gallery.. I've been too busy to make a flash gallery of the best images, so you get to sort through them all if you are curious.  Montana Gallery

Real Skiing!!

I'll never look at skiing the same again... all the years that I've pretended to ski in Wisconsin were a lie... Today I went down some REAL slopes!  I have a hard time trying to describe how much fun I had skiing today in Big Sky, Montana!  Simply put, it was amazing!  And Lisa, who has never been on skis before took an all day lesson and she was doing very well by the end of the day.  We spent the day on Moonlight Basin, which is the sister resort/hill to "Big Sky".  We had such a good time, we may go again, and this time spend the big ching on Big Sky.

Here are a couple of pictures from today:

Trish and I up near the top... not all the way to the top, but up pretty darned high up!

A nice view from up at the top of the 6 person chair lift... Trish and I did one run that was higher than this one.. but even though it was 30 degrees, it was pretty cold and very windy when you got high up the mountain.

Here is a pic of Lisa skiing.... Trish and I caught up to her a few times throughout the day to make sure her lesson was going well and to see if she was having a good time.  She really liked her first skiing experience and hopefully that means we'll be at Big Sky on Monday!

Tomorrow we get up early again, but this time we are going into West Yellowstone to hook up with our snowmobile tour of the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone.  I should have some sweet pictures from that trip!  Oh, we spotted 5 rams today on the side of a hill.. We were in a hurry when we saw the first two, so we couldn't stop and take pictures, but I snapped a couple from the side of the road on the way back, we saw a female, baby, and male ram.. I didn't get a good picture of the male though.. he was hiding behind a tree. :P

Snow fun

Today, Lisa, Trish and I ventured into West Yellowstone to rent some gear for snow fun... We rented some snow shoes, picked up some groceries and also had some really yummy pizza!

Then we went out on some trails near where Trishs' parents live, here is a picture of us on the trail.

Our plan for tomorrow is to do some more snowshoeing (sp?)... and Saturday we are going to Big Sky to ski, Sunday we are going on a snowmobile tour of Yellowstone, and Monday we are going on a sleigh ride dinner thing.. might ski some more on Monday too depending on how things go on Saturday... or it's possible we might go on a dog sled ride, regardless, we are going to have a good time.

Westward!

Left early AM to start the voyage to Montana... drove about 900 miles today.  Stopped in Wall, South Dakota, to visit Wall Drug... and eat some dinner.  Then continued to Sturgis, SD, to rest for the night.. We have about 375 miles to finish our drive out to West Yellowstone, Montana.

Stopped and took a few fun pics... got one with the Jolly Green Giant in Minnesota!  Will post pics when I get time.
